Lord Huron - Mighty EP (2010)

Have not been here for months, good to see some comments.
Here are some tropical folk melodies for the winter melancholies.
Sadly the angelic sea-elephant does not feature in these lyrics.

Gorky's Zygotic Mynci - Spanish Dance Troupe (1999)

Beautiful and weird folky tunes from wild Welsh mushroom-eaters.

Good description here: Country-blues fingerpicking + West African Ewe drumming + indie pop

Yes Please - For Now, For Then, For Them (2008)

For fans of Mirah, Feist. Sounds like a happier Cat Power + Devendra Banhart without the whimsical lyrics. Lily is a lovely lady feeling empty who exhales with a pretty guitar and a warm voice.
